At the end of the 80's we decided to get a northern dog but we didn't have in mind what breed to choose. We did get to know the Siberian Husky, probably when the breed was having its moment of glory in Italy, and we actually liked it but we didn't think that was the right dog for us. We wanted a dog that looked like a wolf and had that beautiful sense of wildness we've seen so many times on the Discovery Channel; we were looking for the missing link between the primitive animal and the everyday domestic dog. Something happened during our summer holydays at the very beginning of the 90's...
